We were traveling down here for business and stopped into a little mom and pop bistro in a strip mall, you can ready Paris’s review of this place here. The ambience was cozy and the staff was friendly. It was pretty busy in here. The food was good and the prices were not unreasonable for an upscale restaurant.
This is the kind of place where all the entrees are on a single page. That usually means they only cook a few things and they do them well.
The homemade pesto was very tasty. It had a nice punch of garlic without being overbearing.
The Caprese salad was tasty and presented well.
The house salad with peach vinegarette was tasty. Like many things in this restaurant, it was homemade.
Chuck liked his Ceasar Salad.
Salmon with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables Dan says is like ordering chicken. But it was very tasty. While the meat and potatoes were good, the vegetables were the centerpiece. Steamed to perfection; I could have eaten twice as many.
Chuck’s pasta had shrimp and a homemade tomato basil cream sauce. Chuck said it was very flavorful.
The Jamaican Pork Tenderloin. This was on the sweeter side but really good. The sweet potatoes were delicious and had a little spice to them. The pear chutney was incredible.
The shrimp and grits were tasty. They had a nice spice to them.
